High Quality Audio

A railfan DVD is also about sound. You want to hear the rumble of the locomotives, the squealing of flanges on steel rails, the whine of dynamic brakes as a lashup of diesels struggle to keep their train under control on a steep downgrade. At TSG we understand this and work hard to make sure our audio channels are crisp and as free as possible of extraneous background noises.

From comments we've heard, most railfans want to hear the trains. For that reason, we do not usually include a music track.

Meaningful Narration and Factual Content

We work hard to get our facts straight, and present them to you in a relevant and concise format. We won't call a GP38-2 a GP40. Our videos are more than just a bunch of shots of trains rolling by. We do a lot of research about the railroads that we shoot, and when possible we consult experts to verify our facts.
